DISCOVER THE HISTORICAL CENTER WITH A LOCAL ACCOMPANYANT

We will start the guided tour in Verona from Piazza Bra, where we will admire the Arena di Verona, a Roman amphitheater located in the city's historic centre and its icon.

We will continue to Piazza delle Erbe, which rises above the area of the Roman forum, under the Lamberti Tower.

We continue the guided tour to Piazza dei Signori, which arose in medieval times following the building of the palaces of the Scaligeri and was the seat of all political, administrative and representative functions of the city.

The walk continues to Porta Borsari, an ancient city gate where history tells us the "borsari," tax collectors for entering and leaving the walls of Verona, were stationed. We will pass by the Ponte di Pietra (Stone Bridge), the oldest Roman monument in Verona, from where we can read the history of the great floods of the Adige River over the centuries.

Before the return, you will have some free time for lunch and some shopping.
